Mark Reagan Calhoun is the founding member of the Calhoun Law Firm. He is a life long South Carolinian. He is an avid outdoorsman and athlete who was a member of the 1981 Clemson University National Championship Football Team and the 1981, 1982 and 1983 ACC Championship teams. Mark received his undergraduate degrees from Clemson University and Wofford College and graduated from the Mercer University School of Law in 1989.
Mark has been an Attorney since 1989 and in private practice since 1993. He was an Assistant Solicitor and a violent crimes prosecutor in Richland County, S.C. his first four years out of law school. His practice now specializes in cases of; Work and Personal/Wrongful Death Injuries for Plaintiffs and Criminal Defense for those prosecuted by the government. Mark also represents minorities/immigrants in his law practice because he receives much satisfaction in helping those who have the least rights, but are routinely misused by Corporate America.
The Calhoun Law Firm is bilingual and many of its clients are of Hispanic descent. The firm practices in all state and federal courts of South Carolina, and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Mark is a parishioner of the First Scots Presbyterian Church. Mark is proud to be kin to South Carolina’s most distinguished statesman, Vice President John C. Calhoun.
